A BLAST FROM THE PAST in CUBA Part 5

—-  Getting to visit a Cuban cigar shop and seeing the different types of cigars produced in Cuba, plus coffee and rum. Priceless.

—-  Getting to speak Spanish to the Cubans and having them understand me. Priceless.

—-  Seeing and visiting Revolution Square in Havana and Fidel’s tribute to his revolution in 1959.

—- Getting to visit Benito’s Tobacco Farm in Vináles in the Pinar del Rio area and learning the complicated process to make the tobacco ready for those famous Cuban cigars.

—- Watching handsome hunk Benito take some of his tobacco leaves and show us how Cuban cigars are rolled and then lighting it up and taking a few puffs for us, causing the females to see glimpses of the romantic Marlboro Man!

—- Seeing scores of different varieties of beautiful orchids at the Orchid Garden and Waterfalls in Soroa.

—- Visiting Las Terrazas in the Sierra del Rosario, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Protected Area, Cuba’s first eco-community of 5,000 reforested hectares of terraced land with a man-made reservoir surrounded by homes for 1,200 needy workers. It also had various artisan shops, doctor’s office, restaurants, a hotel, and small-scale farms.

—-  Visiting the doctor’s office in Las Terrazas and seeing how he treats his patients with holistic methods and potions and then, he showed us the potions and told us how they would help us also.
